Cómo se bloquean los pronósticos, cómo se calculan los puntos y cómo se resuelven los empates.

Game mechanics

  • In the group stage, points are calculated using the score at the end of the match.

  • In knockout rounds, points use the score at the end of the match, including extra time.

  • Goals scored in a penalty shootout do not count for scoring.

  • If you do not submit a prediction or it is incomplete, you score no points for that match.

Predictions

  • You can edit your prediction until 15 minutes before kickoff.

  • If the match is marked as started, live, finished or cancelled, the prediction is locked.

  • When a match ends, you can only see the final result, your saved prediction and the points earned.

Final Phase

  • You are never left out: if a matchup still appears as TBD, it means that official match has not been loaded yet.

  • Final Phase matchups become available as they are confirmed in the World Cup and loaded into the system.

  • Completing the group stage does not automatically build your own Final Phase from your predictions; everyone predicts the official matchups once they are available.

If you also predict the exact score, you get the full score.

In case of ties

If several players have the exact same points, rankings and prizes are decided in this order:

  1. Higher number of exact scores.
  2. Higher number of prediction scores.
  3. Who submitted scoring predictions earlier.
  4. If the tie still remains, account creation date.

Team prizes use the same logic, but based on the team's average points before tiebreakers and the date when the team completed its scoring predictions.

What happens if I predict the exact score?

Result: 2-0. Your prediction: 2-0.

You get 5 points for an exact score.

What happens if I predict the winner but not the exact score?

Result: 2-0. Your prediction: 3-1.

You get 2 points for a prediction score.

What happens if I miss the result but predict one team's goals?

Result: 1-1. Your prediction: 0-1.

You get 1 point for the goal bonus, even if you did not predict the draw.
